On September 19, 2025, Dortmund, Germany – Industry insiders learned on-site that at the InterTabac 2025 tobacco exhibition in Dortmund, Germany, plainclothes personnel from German customs conducted spot checks on the electronic cigarette booths in the exhibition hall. Any electronic cigarette products found without tax labels will face confiscation of all on-site products and strict fines at the exhibition booth.

According to industry insiders, German customs has routinely carried out such enforcement actions during exhibitions in recent years, and similar investigations occurred last year. We have noticed that multiple exhibition booths have been inspected.

Based on my past experience, European countries do have stricter regulations on vapes, and the UK is a country that encourages vape. Relatively more relaxed, I did not encounter such a situation during my participation in the Vaper Expo UK 2024 October exhibition in London last year.
So it is recommended that vape brands and vape manufacturers participate in tobacco exhibitions in Germany. Pay attention to complying with local and EU laws. Don’t have any luck in your heart.
