According to Convenience Store, UK vape retailer VPZ announced on February 2nd the launch of a “multi million pound” investment plan aimed at expanding UK manufacturing capabilities, strengthening supply chain controls, and creating hundreds of job opportunities.
According to reports, the plan will add a fifth production line to VPZ’s UK production facility, and the company plans to open 40 new stores across the UK by 2026.
VPZ stated that the new positions will cover multiple areas such as frontline retail, store leadership, logistics and warehousing, marketing, and administration.
The report also stated that VPZ plans to establish a bonded warehouse at its Edinburgh headquarters, which is widely used in duty-free related industries. VPZ believes that the facility will help support law enforcement and further differentiate compliant retailers from illegal operators as concerns about the illegal vape market intensify.
